Specific to healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Teaches the following:

• high quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

• use of AED

• use of barrier devices for effective ventilation

• relief of foreign body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics.

Teaches the following: 

• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED

• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia

• Related pharmacology

• Management of ACS and stroke

• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet the training needs of childcare providers in almost all U.S. states* (notably North Carolina) while also being a comprehensive resource for parents, grandparents, teachers, babysitters or anyone responsible for the safety of children.

Teaches the following:

• Pediatric First Aid Basics (bleeding/bandaging, allergic reactions, use an epinephrine pen, bites, stings, drowning, burns, asthma, and more) 

• Child CPR and AED

• Infant CPR

• Child and Infant Choking

Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

Teaches the following:

• Adult CPR and AED Use

• Opioid-associated Life-threatening Emergencies

• Child CPR and AED Use

• Infant CPR

• Choking in an Adult, Child or Infant

• *option to add First Aid for $15

• Environmental Emergencies (bites and stings, cold- and heat-related emergencies, poisonings, and more)

• Preventing Illness and Injury
